Registration for national service defaulters — 2019/2020Registration for national service defaulters is now open. The National Service Secretariat is inviting all national service defaulters to take advantage of the special registration for defaulters to register to be placed. This will give defaulters a second chance to undertake the statutory service as required by the National Service Act, 1980 (426)

Registration for national service defaulters — 2019/2020 eligible Ghanaians who missed the opportunity to do their national service in personnel wish to enrol to do the service, have from Monday 21 January 2019 up to Friday 29th  March 2019 to do so.

Eligible applicants are, therefore required to submit their application letters to any of the Regional Secretariats of the Scheme or the NSS head office in Accra.

All applications must be accompanied by a letter requesting for PIN code, certified true copy of School Certificate or Transcript, an evidence of Deferment Letter, an Attestation/Introductory Letter from the institution attended, a copy of any of the following National Identifications (Voters, Driver’s License, Travel Passport, and National ID Card) and a copy of School ID.

International students are mandated to upload their travel passport and other supporting documents on www.nss.gov.gh as part of the NSS Diaspora Programme. The general public is reminded that the National Service Act, 1980 (Act 426) makes it mandatory for every Ghanaian 18 years and above who have acquired a tertiary educational training, to fulfil national service obligation to the state.
